Off- and soft-roaders take note: Now may be the best time to get that Jeep you've been eyeing. Chrysler's Trail Rated brand will be offering Rocky Mountain Edition trim packages on its 2009 Patriot, Liberty, and Grand Cherokee models. The combination gives buyers around $2300 worth of features for $1595, officials say.

2009 Jeep Patriot Rocky Mountain Editions receive 17-in. alloy wheels, monochrome exterior paint, Boston Acoustics stereo system with Chrysler's UConnect, power sunroof and leather wrapped steering wheel. Differentiating the models are "Rocky Mountain Edition" driver and passenger side badges. The model comes standard with a 172-hp 2.4L four-cylinder with five-speed manual (CVT2 transmission optional), but can also be outfitted with a smaller 2.0L four-banger with two-wheel drive and CVT2 for more fuel efficiency (23 mpg city/ 27 mpg highway).

Much like the Patriot, Liberty Rocky Mountain Editions get 17-in. painted silver alloys, a 30-gig UConnect music hard drive and a Boston Acoustics stereo. A power sunroof along with dark tinted glass all around are included in the package as well. It's available in either a 4x2 or 4x4 levels and comes with a 3.7L V-6 making 210-hp and 235 lb-ft of torque under the hood.

Topping the Rocky Mountain range is the Grand Cherokee 4x4 and 4x2 with 17-in. machined-faced wheels, UConnect, heated front seats and chrome body-side moldings. A Boston Acoustic stereo system bumps the tunes while the power sunroof lets in the passing fresh air. The Laredo trim's all-leather interior is maintained, as are the engine choices -- a 3.7L V-6 (210-hp/235 lb-ft) or 4.7L V-8 (305-hp/334 lb-ft). Also included are the Laredo's variety of off-road systems such as Electronic Stability Program, Hill Descent Control, Hill Start Assist and Trailer Sway Control.

All models go on sale later this month, but are currently available for order. Base prices (including destination charges) start at $19,765 and $25,355 for the Patriot and Liberty, respectively, and $32,825 for the Grand Cherokee.
