Short course racing action from the 2009 Traxxas Off-Road Racing Championship Series continued on May 29-30 at Perris Auto Speedway in Perris, California. The two days of racing were Rounds 3 and 4 of the TORC Series. Rick Huseman, who had been holding the lead in the Pro 4x4 Truck class, continued his victorious ways by placing 4th on May 29 and finishing 1st on May 30 to give him a class-leading 96 points. On his tail are #22 driver Johnny Greaves with 81 points and #7 Scott Douglas with 78 points.
In the Pro 2WD Truck class, #48 Ricky Johnson took 1st place in both rounds. He currently leads the 2WD class with 99 points. The Pro Light Truck class is still wide open, with drivers Jeff Kincaid and Chad Hord leading the pack with 75 points apiece. Kyle LeDuc, Casey Currie, and Chris Brandt are within striking difference with point totals of 74, 71, and 66, respectively.
The next event in the TORC series, which will be races five and six, will be held at Crandon Raceway on June 20-21.
