The 2010 Ford F-150 SVT Raptor has gotten a lot of attention since its existence was made public, and with a documentary film on the Raptor's buildup soon to be released, we're about to get a whole lot more personal with Ford's Baja racer. The feature documentary film "Raptor -- Born in Baja" will make its debut on June 23 at the Egyptian Theater in Hollywood, California. In attendance will be more than 500 automotive and off-road motorsport executives, entertainment industry heavyweights, celebrity guests, and members of the press.
"Raptor -- Born in Baja" was produced by Brentwood Communications in conjunction with Ford and follows the progression in the development of the F-150 SVT Raptor as it is prepared for its debut race in the 631-mile Baja 1000. The film captures the work of Ford designers, engineers, and race program directors, along with Foutz Motorsports and other aftermarket organizations, as they construct, test, and ultimately race the off-road racer. As we know, the Raptor finished the 2008 Baja 1000 in 25.5 hours, placing 3rd in its class.
Following the June 23 premiere of "Raptor -- Born in Baja," a one-hour television version of the documentary will air on SPEED channel on July 12 at 4 p.m. EST. There will be additional airings of the television version to be determined at a later date. The 2010 Ford F-150 SVT Raptor will be available in July with a MSRP of $38,995.
