Details on the upcoming Porsche Cayenne S Hybrid have not been in abundant supply, but we now have a starting price for the hybrid luxury SUV, courtesy of Porsche Engineering executive Wolfgang Durheimer. In addition to acknowledging the Porsche Cayenne S Hybrid will be in dealers and on streets by the second half of 2010, Durheimer states the starting price will be 90,000 euros for the European model, or around $125,000 according to current exchange rates.
While the $125,000 figure shares the same digits as the Cayenne Turbo S, don't expect the same sum total to make its way to the U.S., as European models tend to be priced higher than their U.S. counterparts. While the U.S.-spec Cayenne Turbo S is priced at $125,000, the German-spec model sits at nearly $186,000. Pricing for the U.S. version of the 2011 Porsche Cayenne S Hybrid is likely to be somewhere within the $80,000 range.
