In the 15-year history of Strategic Vision's Total Quality Index, no truck has scored higher than the 2009 Dodge Ram 1500. The index is based on buyers' ratings of the total ownership experience, starting with the buying procedure and progressing through ownership. In addition to the vehicles being rated for their performance and drive, customers' commitment to advocacy for and loyalty to their vehicles are also measured.
The 2009 Dodge Ram 1500 was significantly revised before its public release late last year, and has garnered numerous awards and recognitions since its introduction. According to Alexander Edwards, president of Strategic Vision, "the Dodge Ram has reclaimed its perceived leadership in innovation, a corporate hallmark. We have tracked innovation as a critical dimension in success since 1979 and have shown that is has been the single most powerful factor in success across categories, especially among automobiles."
