Customized and Lifted 4X4 F-Series Trucks Available from Galpin Ford

July 2, 2009
By Benson Kong

Continuing to take a page from their 1960s playbook, Galpin Ford is offering lifted and customized F-150, F-250, and F-350 pickup trucks right off their lot. In addition to purchasing a "Galpinized" truck, buyers can go across the street to visit Galpin Auto Sports of "Pimp My Ride" fame to receive more modifications for their ride. Popular modifications include superchargers, roll bars, fog lights, and I.C.E.

The story of "Galpinized" trucks begins in the mid 1960s, when Galpin Ford owner Bert Boeckmann wanted to boost the showroom appeal of his 4X4s. At the suggestion of Galpin's Get Ready manager Bob Ferris, Boeckmann began customizing and lifting his trucks. With the 4X4 trucks now sporting lifts, wild paint jobs, light bars, push bars, winches, and big fat wheels and tires, Galpin Ford went from selling two 4X4 trucks a year to 300 a year. As they say, the rest is history, and the trend carries into today with the latest Ford offerings.
