Since 2004, Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation for Childhood Cancer has raised more than $25 million for a cause that began with the efforts of a single young girl named Alex Scott who was set on positively changing the world. Their efforts in combating pediatric cancer continue were recently bolstered by the raffling off of a brand-new 2010 Volvo XC60, which helped the ALSF take in more than $75,000. The winner of the XC60, Chadi Salloum of Mahwah, New Jersey, remained gracious in accepting the prize from Alex's parents, Liz and Jay Scott, in a special ceremony, stating:
"I'm thrilled to take home the Volvo XC60 today. I want to thank Volvo and ALSF. Each time I drive it, I will remember why I have it and glad that, in a small way, I helped ALSF."
