The Lucas Oil Off-Road Racing Series proved to be a big hit, and after a successful year, LOORRS is hitting the shelf for the off-season.

LOORRS, the source for short-course, off-road racing in the Western U.S., closed out its inaugural season on November 14-15. The year ended right where it began, at the Primm Valley Motorsports Complex in Primm, Nevada, with nearly all classes up for grabs. By the end of the season, Carl Renezeder had claimed both the Unlimited 2 and Unlimited 4 titles, while Brian Deegan sat atop the stacked Unlimited Lite class. The championship banquet followed on November 16.

After running at just three tracks in 2009 -- Lake Elsinore, Primm, Surprise -- LOORRS will add two more locations to its 2010 schedule: Miller Motorsports Park in Tooele, Utah, and Firebird Raceway in Phoenix, Arizona.
