Suzuki, in conjunction with Quiksilver and Tahiti Tourisme, is presenting "The Ultimate Wave Tahiti 3D" in IMAX next month. Whether you are a surfing aficionado or enjoy watching Mother Nature at work, you may want to score a ticket. The film will be playing at select screens across the nation and promises to deliver high-resolution Pacific Island scenery, surfing action, and big waves.
"The Ultimate Wave Tahiti 3D" chronicles the experience of nine-time world surfing champion Kelly Slater and a group of friends as they seek one of the world’s most challenging waves: Teahupo’o. Their host is Tahiti native and fellow professional surfer Raimana Van Bastolaer, who not only helps Slater and company find the best ocean, but also immerses them in the lay of the land. As the cast takes their Suzuki Grand Vitara across the island, we learn about the local culture, ecosystem, and the science behind some of the best-known waves in the world. It looks like a swell adventure.
“The Ultimate Wave Tahiti 3D” was directed by Stephen Low and will make its world premiere on February 8 during a private screening at the California Science Center in Los Angeles. The movie opens to the public on February 12.
