Yamaha's OHV Access Initiative is dedicated to responsible off-road riding and is prepared to distribute funding to OHV access-related non-profit and tax-exempt organizations for 2010. After granting over $1.3 million to more than 100 groups in support of preservation and sustainability during the past two years, the initiative is ready to accept more quarterly grant applications. In the fourth quarter of 2009, Yamaha awarded over $80,000 in cash and equipment to 11 worthy groups.
Eligible organizations include OHV riding clubs and associations, national, state, and local public land use agencies, and other members of the OHV community. This year, the grant applications submissions and decision dates are as follows:
2010 Application Submission Deadline
- Q1 -- March 31
- Q2 -- June 30
- Q3 -- September 30
- Q4 -- December 3
- Q1 -- May 7
- Q2 -- August 6
- Q3 -- November 5
- Q4 -- January 15, 2011

- Trail development, restoration, and maintenance
- Trail signage, mapping, and map production
- Staging area construction, renovation, and maintenance
- Responsible OHV riding education and outreach
- Land stewardship and education
