The BFGoodrich Tires Outstanding Trails program has entered its fifth year and has selected five off-road trails to receive grants for 2010. Outstanding Trails is dedicated to preserving OHV areas and promoting responsible off-road driving. The program has recognized 19 trails and granted more than $70,000 since its inception.
The five Outstanding Trails for 2010 are:
- Johnson Valley, California
- Holy Cross, Colorado
- Drummond Island, Michigan
- Rausch Creek, Pennsylvania
- Yacolt, Washington
Starting in June, each trail will be individually recognized with special events hosted by BFGoodrich.
"The five trails that have been selected this year are well deserving of the recognition, and we're excited to have them part of the Outstanding Trails family," said Joe Mazur, BFGoodrich Tires light-truck marketing manager. "We look forward to honoring the clubs at selected events throughout the year and helping them maintain and preserve these beautiful off-road trails for everyone to enjoy."
Last year, Outstanding Trails awarded grants to the Barnwell Mountain Recreation Area in Texas and the Fordyce Creek Trail in the Sierra Nevada Mountains.
BFGoodrich Tires works with Tread Lightly!, United Four Wheel Drive Associations, and hundreds of club members and enthusiasts to support off-road trails from coast to coast. To see other Outstanding Trails, visit the program's official Web site.
