This latest Recall to surface revolves around the Lexus LX470 sport utility vehicles produced from 2003 to 2007.
A recall notice from the National Highway Safety Institute's Office of Defects Investigation also concerns Volvo S80 sedans produced from 2007 to 2010.

The problem: The snap ring on the steering shaft can disengage on harsh surfaces, potentially causing the steering shaft to disengage.
The fix: Lexus will replace the snap ring with one of a different design. Owners of affected vehicles will be notified in late August.
