General Motors is two for two regarding 2011 sales gains. Hot off a strong January, GM has repeated its performance with a 49-percent year-over-year gain for the month of February.

According to GM, sales were strong virtually across the board, with gains in the car, truck and crossover segments. Brandwise, the biggest gainer was Buick with sales up 73 percent from the previous year. The Regal was Buick's hot seller, with 3541 examples finding new homes in February.

Cadillac wasn't far behind Buick, with sales up a full 70 percent on Feburary 2010. The new-to-market CTS Coupe helped bolster sales, with total CTS sales (including sedan and wagon variants) increasing 159 percent over the previous year. GM reports strong SRX and Escalade sales as well, those models up 62 percent and 27 percent, respectively, over 2010.

GMC found itself up a respectable 59 percent, marking its 17th consecutive month of year-over-year sales gains. Yukon sales were up 123 percent, while Terrain and Sierra sales increased 89.8 percent and 85.8 percent, respectively. Meanwhile, Chevrolet rounded out GM's month with a 43-percent sales increase. Equinox sales increased 91.5 percent, though Camaro sales were suspiciously off by 3.7 percent. Chevrolet also delivered another 281 Volts, bringing its total up to 602 units with new owners.
