Rollovers are one of the scariest types of vehicle crashes, especially in a top heavy crossover like the 2011 Buick Enclave. So to lessen the likelihood and the effects of such an event, GM's safety engineers have given the luxury 'Ute new rollover sensing technology employing advanced technology.

While GM didn't specify what the tech exactly entails, and where the sensors are located, it did explain the basic sequence of events: When sensors predict a rollover is imminent, they call upon StabiliTrack traction control, Panic Brake Assist and anti-lock brakes to help lessen the severity or even prevent the rollover from happening.

If it can't be avoided, seat belts pretension and load limiters activate to keep passengers adequately in secure, while airbags deploy for an added element of protection. The entire process takes just milliseconds to occur.
