Subaru is the latest automaker to jump on the Apple iPad bandwagon with newly released app for the popular personal tablet device. Consumers who own Apple's iPad or iPad2 can now download a free digital brochure of the 2011 Subaru Outback, Forester and WRX/STI, which will include many features found on Subaru's website.
"Car shoppers are researching everything from financing to auto insurance on their mobile devices. Making these apps available gives car shoppers a convenient and interactive way to explore Subaru vehicles and technology, and it also aligns with our environmental efforts," said Alan Bethke, Director of Marketing Communications at Subaru of America.
According to Subaru, Apple has sold 4.69 million iPads worldwide. Almost half of U.S. adults surveyed said shopping was one of the reasons for purchasing the iPad. Subaru's app will include info and specs as well as 360-degree views of vehicles, videos and interactive demonstrations.
