If you are a die-hard Mitsubishi fan, then it's safe to assume you made it out to the automaker's headquarters in Cypress, Calif. on July 9 for Mitsubishi Owners Day. If you couldn't make it, or didn't know about it, you missed out on getting up close and personal with some of the brand's most sought after cars, and even a Formula 3 machine.

All Mitsu flavors were in attendance, including oldies but goodies like the first generation Eclipse and a turbocharged Starion. The 3000 GT showed itself off to event-goers, and the more sophisticated Galant joined the Mitsubishi mania lineup, with the Montero Sport and Outlander rounding out the more rugged rides. The Lancer Evolution also appeared in many variants of past generations.

But perhaps the coolest set of wheels there was the FJR-50, courtesy of the Jim Russell Racing Drivers School. Mitsubishi fans who attended were able to see the open-wheel race car's 300-hp 2.0-liter turbocharged Mitsubishi 4G63I-4 in all its glory.

The Mitsubishi i production car was available to be taken out for a spin, while the automaker's freshest offerings were on display, including a 2012 Eclipse SE and an Outlander Sport concept car. And we bet you've never played video games like some did in the Mitsubishi Evolution X and Sony game car - attendees played their favorite games while behind the wheel of the Evo. How's that for real-life simulation?
