Cadillac has revised the Premium Collection trim level for the 2012 Escalade. The automaker says the updates give the SUV "a more colorful exterior design treatment."
Cadillac has replaced some of the exterior chrome with body-colored pieces. "Escalade is iconic and always bold, but the Premium Collection offers a new interpretation of that statement," said Don Butler, Cadillac vice president of marketing, in a press release. "It offers a new choice for Escalade buyers to express their personalities."
Front-end revisions include a restyled fascia with body-colored surround and horizontal cues accented by vertical chrome bars. The fender vents, body molding and door handles have also been redesigned. Polished 22-inch alloy wheels are standard and LED headlamps are optional on the Premium trim level. Around back a redesigned fascia sports dual rectangular exhaust tips; and joins clear tinted LED tail lamps and third brake light. The Cadillac emblem has also been updated.
The Premium Collection receives the same interior updates to the center console lid; and backup camera with parking assist. The navigation system gains Point of Interest Navigation Franchise Search.
The launch of the 2012 Cadillac Escalade Premium Collection will kick-start Texas Truck Month at the General Motors Arlington Assembly Plant in October. The month-long charity event, Team Escalade Texas, will benefit CureDuchenne, Taylor's Gift, YMCA, Ronald McDonald House Charities, Special Olympics Texas and Love, Hope, Strength Foundation.
Nineteen Texas sports celebrities will participate in the event as a parade of Escalades will travel from the Arlington plant to the Texas State Fair in Dallas.
