Ram has partnered with Orion Entertainment, the company responsible for many of the outdoor adventure-themed programs currently on television, to produce a new series promoting the Ram Outdoorsman pickup truck. The project is titled simply the Ram Outdoorsman series, and will launch on the VERSUS channel, a part of the NBC Sports Network, in fall of 2012.

The series will feature hunting and angling destinations across the U.S., ranging from Alaska to Texas. The focus on hunting and sport fishing will appeal to the Ram Outdoorsman's target market, according to Ram truck brand President and CEO Fred Diaz.

"This new series will provide the Ram Outdoorsman with even greater visibility among America's 50 million sportsmen," said Diaz. "Working with Orion Entertainment helps the Ram truck brand speak directly to customers and demonstrates our commitment to the outdoors and outdoors enthusiasts."

The Ram Outdoorsman series will join the NHL, IZOD IndyCar Series, Tour De France, and Professional Bull Riders (PBR) series when it launches on the VERSUS network next fall. VERSUS also airs coverage of NASCAR and NBA pro basketball, as well as college basketball and football. The show will likely find itself most at home though airing alongside the many other outdoor programs the network has to offer. VERSUS is available through cable providers and satellite operators throughout the United States.
