At the center of a recall issued by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration is the 2012 Dodge Journey SUV, in which some have been found to contain contaminated brake fluid.

The Problem: Certain Journeys and 500s were assembled with contaminated brake fluid that can ruin the sealing components in the brake system, which could potentially lead to loss of braking ability.
The Fix: Affected owners will be notified starting in December, and can take their vehicles in to get all brake components that came in contact with the contaminated fluid replaced for free. Owners can call 1-800-853-1403 for more information.
Number of Vehicles Potentially Affected: 340 Journeys and 500s manufactured from October 24 2011, to October 26, 2011.
