Toyota has announced pricing for its latest T/X model to join the Tacoma lineup, the TRD T/X Baja Series. But this truck is more than just a decal special. The T/X Baja features enhancements to the suspension, wheels, and tires, and is actually priced at a slight discount to the regular TRD Off-Road Package.

The package is available on Access Cab and Double Cab Tacoma 4x4 models, and as with all Tacoma 4x4 models, is offered with the 4.0-liter V-6 and the buyer’s choice of a six-speed manual or five-speed automatic.

The suspension features Bilstein front and remote-reservoir rear shocks with TRD front springs, raising the front ride height by nearly two inches. Front and rear shocks are designed for increased wheel travel, and are complemented by BF Goodrich LT265/70R16 T/A KO tires mounted on beadlock-style off-road wheels exclusive to the package.

In addition to the suspension upgrades, the TRD T/X Baja Series includes a TRD cat-back exhaust. All Tacoma TRD T/X Baja models will be built at Toyota’s San Antonio, Texas plant, and will be available at dealers starting in May. Prices start at $33,800
