The exact replica of the Pizza Planet delivery truck from the movie "Toy Story" has been completed, and the result is as close as you can get to the animated truck in real life. The project started with a group of film students and a well-worn black 1988 Toyota pickup found on Craigslist.

After a taxicab yellow paint job, a custom-fabricated illuminated "Pizza Planet" rocket affixed to the roof, custom-ordered RES1536 license plates (that match the plate numbers of the movie truck) and, of course, the "YO" prominently displayed on the tailgate, the project is finally complete.

You can follow the project at "The Road to Pixar" blog, which features a photo documentary of the journey from the beginning, as well as videos documenting the crew's trek from Los Angeles to the Pixar studios in Emeryville, a suburb of Berkeley, California in the San Francisco Bay Area. Those interested in following the project further, or supporting the students can visit the blog at theroadtopixar.wordpress.com.
