Our spy photographer has snapped photos of the 2013 F-150 sans camouflage, with the exception of a rattle-can paint job on the grille. As these photos show, the grille design will vary slightly by trim level.
The mid-range FX4 and XLT trim levels have a C bracket design similar to that of the larger Super Duty, whereas the higher-level Lariat trim will get a three-bar design. The 2012 models of the Platinum and Harley Davidson limited edition models feature unique grille treatments, as does the SVT Raptor version. It's unknown whether these models will see any significant styling changes for the 2013 model year.
Also unknown is whether there will be any significant engine or powertrain changes for the 2013 model year. Seeing as the F-150 got an all-new engine lineup for 2011, no major changes are expected. Although many have shown interest in an EcoBoost V-6 option in the Raptor, its expected engine availability is going to remain the same as 2012 models.
Following a mid-cycle refresh on the 2013 Ram 1500, and all-new models expected from GM for the 2014 model year, an all-new F-150 is expected within the next two years
