It's said the best things come to those who wait. If you've been waiting for more power for Infiniti's V-6 SUVs, your wait is finally over, as for 2013, the FX and EX models finally get fitted with the brand's 3.7-liter V-6 instead of the aging 3.5-liter. The update would not seem long overdue if not for the fact that the bigger V-6 has been offered in European versions of both models for the past three years.
The switch to the 3.7-liter adds more 28 hp to the EX and 22 hp to the FX, which are now dubbed EX37 and FX37, with both models now rated at 325 hp. As with the 2012 models, both are equipped exclusively with a 7-speed automatic transmission.
Besides the base engine upgrade, the other major change to the FX line is the addition of moving object detection to the Around View system. The 2013 FX37 is scheduled to be in U.S. dealerships in July, with the EX37 following in August. Pricing has not yet been announced.
