Nissan has paired with Ministry of Sound, a U.K.-based nightclub, to create a special Juke model for music fans. Dubbed the Nissan Juke with Ministry of Sound, the crossover gets unique interior and exterior elements, an iPod touch preloaded with photo and video, and audiophile-approved headphones from the Ministry of Sound.

The special edition model will be limited to just 250 models in the U.K., offered in a choice of two exterior colors, Metallic Black and Solid White. Models get the same drivetrain options as the rest of the U.K.-market Juke lineup, including the turbocharged 1.6-liter I-4 also available in the U.S., a 1.5-liter turbodiesel I-4, and a non-turbo 1.6-liter with a stop-start system available on manual-transmissionmodels.

As far as exterior enhancements, the Juke with Ministry of Sound gets standard 17-inch white-finished alloy wheels, along with white-painted door handles and side mirror caps. For contrast, a high-gloss black is applied to the B-pillar. The black-and-white theme continues inside, with a white-finished center console and white door panels. The black leather seats get white contrast stitching, as does the steering wheel and gear selector. Topping off the package is an exclusive Music Pack, which includes an 8-GB iPod touch engraved on the back with Nissan Juke and Ministry of Sound logos, an iPod case featuring Nissan's self-healing Scratch Shield technology, and a pair of exclusive headphones with 50mm speaker drivers and aluminum ear cups.

Nissan recently paired up with Ministry of Sound at Le Mans for the Juke Box mobile sound system, which took a pair of Juke crossovers and outfitted them with the same speakers used in the famed London nightclub. Though this limited-edition Juke may not be a set of speakers on wheels, should certain elements of the crossover make it to a U.S. model?

The arrival of "my" 2011 Nissan Juke SL made me hesistate. The crazily-styled compact crossover that was to be my first assigned long-termer had a knack for making just about everyone that saw it stop, stare, and point -- often open-mouthed.
