Like it or not, social media is becoming an increasingly integral part of our lives, and is often typified by short snippets sharing bits and pieces of information, rather than telling a cohesive story. Land Rover is hoping to change that perception with its new Land Rover Story tab on Facebook. The multi-page flipper incorporates video, photos, and historical information to tell the story of the brand from its conception by the Wilks brothers on a beach in Wales, through the brands varied and multitude off-road exploits, on to the brands' current products, and an interview with current Land Rover design director Gerry McGovern.

The tabs are broken down into several sections, starting with Conceived on a Beach outlining the brand's earliest days, Not Driven by Vanity or Fashion sharing Land Rover's philosophy of design and engineering, A Desire To Serve, showing how the brand's vehicles legendary capability have made them the choice for many first reponders in areas affected by natural disasters, and finally Above and Beyond, where McGovern and his team share their thoughts on the inspiration behind the design and style of the all-new 2013 Range Rover.
