Back in Fall 2011, Nissan Europe lifted the lid on an improbable and odd, but simultaneously awesome concept, the Juke-R. Originally intended to be a one-off showcase of the division's capabilities, overwhelming public reaction prompted Nissan to consider putting the vehicle into (very) limited production.

A year later, the streetgoing version of this Frankenstein supercar is finally on its way to its first customer, with production starting on the second, and the door cracked open for the possibility of a few more. Pricing was conspicuously absent from the release, but considering each Juke-R is essentially handbuilt, you can figure it being well into six-figure territory.

In the transition from concept to reality, the Juke-R also got a substantial 65-hp boost, going from 480 of the original concept to 545, same as the current GT-R. Claimed performance is a 0-60 time of less than 3 seconds and a top speed of 171 mph.

But if the prospect of having an actual Juke-R in your garage seems too farfetched, fear not. You'll soon be able to enjoy the Juke-R experience on your smartphone, with Gameloft, developer of such well-known gaming franchises as Modern Combat, NFL Pro 2013, and Wild Blood, will include the Juke-R in its lineup of vehicles for Asphalt 7: Heat. The game will be available for Android and iPhone before the end of 2012.
