If it weren't already obvious by now that the off-roading enthusiast community loves the Jeep Wrangler, its latest award from the editors at Four Wheeler magazine should validate its status as king of the hill even further. For the second year in a row, the Jeep Wrangler snagged the magazine's prestigious Four Wheeler of the Year award, this time for the new Moab Edition. This comes on the heels of the Wrangler's distinction of being awarded the Four Wheeler of the Decade by Four Wheeler. The Moab also got the 2013 4x4 of the Year title from Petersen's 4-Wheel & Off-Road Magazine.

The criteria for the competition require that vehicles be all-new models or substantial mechanical revisions from the year prior. Although the 2013 Wrangler is not an all-new model, its specific configuration and equipment are new for 2013 on the Moab Edition. Upgrades for the trim include 17-inch Rubicon alloy wheels, Goodyear Silent Armor off-road tires, and Trak-Lok limited slip rear differential with an optional rear locker.

Based on the Wrangler Sahara trim, the Moab Edition is available on both the two-door and four-door Unlimited models.
