The Problem: The fuel filter flange may crack and leak fuel when operated in high temperatures due to an irregularity stemming from the molding process of the fuel filter flange. Fuel leaked from the crack flange may lead to a fire if an external ignition source is present.

The Fix: Mercedes-Benz will notify owners beginning in January to bring into dealers, which will replace the fuel filter for free. Owners may contact Mercedes-Benz at 1-800-367-6372.
