2013 Toyota RAV4 Pricing Announced

Changes in Trim Levels, Powertrains Defy Easy 2012 Comparison

2013 Toyota RAV4
We showed you official photos of the 2013 Toyota RAV4 earlier this month from the 2012 Los Angeles auto show. The biggest news, other than the all-new body, is the dropping of the V-6 option, making it an all four-cylinder proposition going forward. But the other change was to the trim level designations. The topline Limited trim remains, but the entry and intermediate trim levels have changed from Base and Sport to LE and XLE. Along with the trim level names comes changes in actual content with those respective levels, so although we attempted to do as close to an apples-to-apples price comparison as possible, the comparison is not exact.

2013 Toyota RAV4
All 2013 Toyota RAV4 models come with a standard 6.1-inch display audio head unit with integrated backup camera, a feature that was optional on most models last year. Also, as previously noted, there is no V-6 model for 2013, so we did not include that in our price comparison. The delivery, processing and destination fee increased from $810 to $845 for 2013, which is also reflected in the pricing. For relative comparison, a 2013 RAV4 Limited starts at $29,255 including destination, while a 2012 RAV4 AWD V-6 started at $29,460, a difference of $205.
