Chevypower79 5pts Buy a Honda Ridgeline, it is unibody. They don't get any better fuel economy than a real truck. It's about the same mpgs as a Silverado 1500 or F150 EcoBoost. Consider the Silverado is bigger, tougher, has more room, larger bed, extra towing capacity, payload. Why would you want a unibody? The gap between the bed and body helps when the frame is flexing. If it does that without a gap, the body will bend with too much stress. The Land Rover LR4 has a unibody and the much larger Expedition and Suburban do not. The Ford and Chevy also have bigger engines, and the American SUVs get better fuel economy.LR4- 4.4V8 5850 lbs, 12/17 mpgTahoe - 5.3 V8 5276 lbs, 15/21 mpgExpedition: 5782 lbs, 14/20 mpgRidgeline 4513 lbs, 15/21 mpg Tacoma 4.0 V6 4x4 crew: 4220 lbs, 15/21 mpgSilverado 1500 crew 4x4 V8: 5605 lbs 16/22 mpgIf you want fuel economy, get a 2014 Ram 1500 EcoDiesel w/ 30 mpgs.
