To keep the interest level in the 2013 GMC Sierra 1500 high as some buyers anxiously await the arrival of the all-new 2014 models, GMC is offering what it calls its Pro Grade Protection plan for Sierra 1500 models sold between February 1 and 28 of this year. The plan is included in the price of vehicles purchased in February and covers regularly scheduled oil and oil filter changes, tire rotations, and vehicle inspections. The plan applies to purchased or leased vehicles, and is transferable among owners.

As is usually the case, there are a few minor caveats: The program covers only up to four "service events" and doesn't include air filter changes. And the two years or 24,000 miles is "whichever comes first," not both.

Although officially only for February sales of the Sierra 1500, GMC representatives said the special offer could be extended beyond the end of the month. Sierra HD models are not included in the program. For business buyers, GM announced a two-year,/30,000-mile maintenance program for fleet and business customers in January.
