It's official: Toyota has confirmed that the new 2014 Highlander will debut at the New York auto show later this month. Toyota revealed a small teaser shot of the new Highlander earlier today, and it looks like the grille has been redesigned. The current Highlander is a popular three-row crossover that competes with the Chevrolet Traverse, Dodge Durango, and Ford Explorer. This is a highly significant introduction for Toyota, as it's the company's second-best-selling vehicle that isn't a car (the top seller in that category is the RAV4).
The 2013 Highlander comes with a choice of a four-cylinder or a V-6, or as a hybrid. We don't think the changes are going to be all that dramatic for 2014, but could include changes to the trim levels or new features in the cabin.
The 2014 Highlander will debut March 27 in New York.
