Nissan is recalling an undetermined number of 2013 Pathfiders and 2013 Infiniti JX35 for faulty passenger-side airbag seat strain gauges.

The Problem: The passenger Occupant Detection System, which determines whether the passenger-side airbag should deploy in an accident, may fail and disable the airbag. Strain gauges are used to measure the passenger's weight may have been manufactured incorrectly. If this happens, the red SRS warning light will illuminate in the instrument cluster, and the amber passenger-airbag warning light will illuminate on the dashboard.

The Fix: Nissan and Infiniti will inspect the ODS strain gauges and, if necessary, replace them for free.

Number Of Vehicles Potentially Affected: Nissan has yet to determine the number of vehicles subject to this recall. 2013 Nissan Altima, Leaf, Pathfinder, Sentra; 2013 Infiniti JX35
