Dodge has announced that it will be unveiling the 2014 Durango at the New York auto show next week. The company released this single photo on Facebook, which shows a taillight design that is much more aggressive and sportier than those on the current sport/utility. These taillights seem to share a design philosophy of those of the Dart and Charger. We don't know if these are going to become the new standard taillight, or an option that comes with a special package.
Dodge also teased the debut of the Durango, saying in a brief release, "Dodge Durango, the ultimate "no compromise" three-row SUV, is about to get even better. Built on the Dodge brand's pillars of style, performance, and innovation, the new 2014 Dodge Durango will deliver state-of-the-art technology in form and function. Building upon its best-in-class attributes, Durango adds several new class-exclusive features for 2014, making it the Dodge brand's most technologically advanced, fuel-efficient, and stylish Durango ever."
The new Durango could get the eight-speed automatic that is available in the Ram and in the 2014 Grand Cherokee, and may also get an interior redesign like the Jeep did. Whatever changes come to the Durango, it's impressive that the company is already making improvements to a well-executed vehicle that has been on the market only since the 2011 calendar year.
