On the heels of Mike Ryan powering his Freightliner up Pikes Peak this week, we've got some more heavy-duty hoonage to help satisfy your big-rig craving. This time, it comes courtesy of Dutch driver Michiel Becx. A modified MAN TGS-18 truck terrorizes a vacant residential and industrial park near the Fursten Forest in eastern Germany with 1100 hp and an estimated 3700 lb-ft of torque from a MAN 12.4-liter diesel engine.
A 13,227-pound truck is probably not the first thing to come to mind when you hear the words "nimble" or "agile," but Becx flings around the behemoth like it was a Mazda Miata. Among the many stunts Becx performs in his "Semi Truck Drift Gymkhana 1" video is crashing through a glass platform with a stuntman standing on top of it, drifting through multiple glass panes, doing donuts around a hapless geek on a Segway, and putting his truck into auto-donut mode while he takes a coffee break. Alas, the fun finally comes to an end when Becx blows out a rear tire while doing donuts.
The video has to be seen to be believed. Lucky for you, we have it embedded just below. Eat your heart out, Ken Block.
