Toyota is recalling 342,000 Tacoma trucks for an issue related to the driver's and front passenger's seat belt assembly.

2004-2011 Toyota Tacoma Access Cab

The Problem: The recall only affects Toyota Tacoma Access Cab trucks (with second-row seats and rear-hinged side access doors) produced from 2004 through 2011. Toyota says screws that attach the seat belt pre-tensioner to the seat belt retractor for the driver and front passenger could become loose over time as a result of repeated and forceful slams of the small, access doors. If the screws loosen completely, retractor and pre-tensioner performance could be affected

The Fix: Owners of affected vehicles will soon receive a letter from Toyota, which can be contacted at 1-800-331-4331 for more information.

Number of Vehicles Potentially Affected: 342,000 Toyota Tacomas produced from 2004 to 2011.
