If Ford is redesigning the 2014 Expedition they should begin releasing information and photos. The Ford dealers near us are almost empty of the 2013 Expeditions. Many of us still need a "real" SUV that can tow and would like to plan before buying an alternate vehicle. Has anyone seen any spy photos of the prototypes testing on the roads?

Colonel, do you drive one of those TT V6s? I do. I have no hesitation issues, no maintenance issues, and certainly no performance issues. When you look at the sheer number of 3.5L TTV6s running around out there, they have been extremely successful and reliable. There's no way that 5.0 could pull what I've pulled with my EB with the amazing amount of confidence (I'm talking 10,800 lbs of 36-ft toy hauler at 70MPH down the freeway in 6th gear). The only issues I've heard with it is the charge air cooler working TOO well and causing it to pull moisture from the air, pool it, then occasionally send it to the engine under heavier load causing stumbling. It's an easy enough fix.

Ford knows many people don't want the V6 turbo, especially with the long term maintenance issues and some current hesitation issues. A proven V8 (like the 5.0) will do well, though many would opt for the larger V8 if Ford offered it.

So Escape, Flex, Explorer, Edge, Fusion, F-150, Transit, Taurus, Fiesta, Focus are all good enough for EcoBoost, but NOT the Expedition? That makes a whole lot of sense. And they wanna steal sales from the Tahoe/Suburban/Yukon?
