Now that the 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe and 2015 GMC Yukon have been revealed, it's the 2015 Cadillac Escalade's turn. Cadillac has announced that the 2015 Escalade will be officially uncovered on October 7 with indie rock photographer and director Autumn de Wilde.
The 2015 Cadillac Escalade's volume powertrain will be a version of the 6.2-liter V-8 that in the 2015 Yukon produces 420 hp and 460 lb-ft of torque. Although it's mated to a six-speed automatic in the Yukon, at some point we expect a different transmission to take the six-speed's place in the Cadillac and possibly in the GMC as well.
GM says the 2015 Cadillac Escalade images de Wilde has taken are a bit different from traditional automotive photography. What we can tell based on the teaser image is that the Escalade will again offer LED headlights, with an LED accent light pipe stretching the length of the headlight, up onto the edge of the hood. It appears the 2015 Escalade's headlight may be a bit slimmer and longer than that of the 2015 Yukon, to better differentiate the two high-priced SUVs.
We've actually already taken a peek inside the 2015 Cadillac Escalade, which as you'd expect, will feature a slick, black center stack with touch-sensitive buttons, silver accents, and a fully digital instrumet cluster display. We'd be surprised if the Escalade's center stack doesn't also have a hidden compartment, like the full-size XTS sedan. While Cadillac currently only sells the SRX and Escalade SUVs, rumors have suggested that a compact and full-size crossover may soon join the luxury-brand's lineup.
Cadillac has released a number of short Escalade teasers -- watch them below. The 2015 Cadillac Escalade will be revealed on October 7 at 4:30 p.m. PDT.
