The BWW X3 is just about due for its mid-cycle refresh. The X3 was new for the 2011 model year, and with sales down from last year, the Bavarian automaker is hard at work getting the 2015 BMW X3 ready for production.
Though BMW seems to have its focus on developing the new X4 as of late, the updated 2015 X3 will likely be the big seller of the two. Updates to the X3 look to be rather minor. The biggest changes come to the 2015 BMW X3′s front fascia; its front bumper looks to be revised with a more rounded shape, and the LED headlights are all new. The headlights look to be following BMW's new trend of growing width-wise to butt up against the grille, as seen on the BMW 3 Series, and 2014 BMW X5.
Other changes to the BMW X3 are similarly minor. Camouflage looks to be hiding revised side sills, and possibly a new front quarter panel badge, and the rear of the 2015 X3 look to be getting styling touches similar to its X5 big brother. We're expecting the 2015 BMW X3 to get an updated interior, with the latest itineration of iDrive serving as the centerpiece.
The X3′s base 240-hp 2.0-liter turbocharged I-4 and optional 3.0-liter 300-hp turbocharged I-6 will likely be unchanged.
