Auto show season is starting up again, and before even Los Angeles or Detroit comes the Specialty Equipment Market Association show, better known by its acronym SEMA, where it seems the entire global aftermarket, as well as all the major manufacturers, converge on Las Vegas to showcase the latest models and accessories. Chrysler has long been an enthusiastic participant in SEMA with its Mopar division, and this year is no different. Among the models highlighted this year are the Ram 1500, the 2014 Jeep Cherokee and the Fiat 500L crossover.

Ram 1500 Quad Cab Sun Chaser

In a nod to the surfing enthusiast community, Ram created the Sun Chaser concept, featuring a two-tone Vibrance Orange Blast and Brilliant Black paint job, a concept roof rack and side hooks designed to accommodate up to four surfboards, and a prototype accessory shower that uses the Ram Box as a water tank with a portable shower head, for rinsing off after tackling the waves. The bed also features a concept flip-up seatback tailgate. The interior features Katzkin leather seating with orange accent stitching, with the accent color also adorning the dash, display bezels and door inserts. The Sun Chaser also features a 2-inch lift kit, and a Mopar sport performance hood and Mopar cat-back dual-outlet exhaust to let the 5.7-liter Hemi V-8 breathe.

Jeep Cherokee Trail Carver

Based on a 2014 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk, the Trail Carver concept is painted Auburn Pearl, with low-gloss black and Granite Crystal accents, with Crush Orange graphic accents and tow hooks. The Trail Carver also features a concept roof basket with woven metallic fabric. Like any serious off-road Jeep, it also has rock rails to guard from unintended trail tattoos. On the inside, the Trail Carver features Katzkin Amaretto leather seats, and leather-wrapped center console and armrest. Other premium touches included bright Cherokee logo door sill guards, a wireless mobile charging system and built-in wi-fi. In the rear, a Jeep Cargo Management Receiver System features a roadside emergency kit, Trailhawk bag and first aid kit. Underhood, a Mopar cold-air intake and cat-back exhaust system enhance performance of the 3.2-liter Pentastar V-6.

Fiat 500L Adventurer

The Fiat 500L Adventurer brings a European flair to the Mopar booth this year with Bright White paint accented by a Vibrance Bright Orange roof panel, exterior mirrors and Satin Black exterior accents. The Adventurer also features a Mopar roof rack. The car rides on 18x7.5 wheels. The interior features Katzkin suede and pearl leather seats, with orange bezels, speaker grilles and steering wheel accents. The interior also features an accessory seatback coat hanger mounted on the headrest stanchions, accessory pedal kit, doorsill guards, and a cargo organizer. A Mopar cold air intake and cat-back exhaust help the 1.4L MultiAir turbo perform to its maximum potential.

Dodge Durango

A Mopar-modified Dodge Durango is one of 20 Mopar-modified vehicles that are headed to the 2013 SEMA show in Las Vegas in November. The customized Durango features a modified hood, red interior and a two-tone paint job giving it a lowered articulation.
