Every year, the lives of many members of the U.S. armed forces are sacrificed for the defense and protection of our country, with little public recognition and acknowledgement. RK Motors Charlotte wanted to recognize the heroism of fallen Navy Seal Adam Brown, who sacrificed his life for his unit while serving in Afghanistan. This special build transformed Brown's 1991 Ford Bronco from a tired, stock 4x4 to a fully customized off-road ready machine that's a fitting tribute to Adam and all our fallen heroes. The Bronco was presented to Adam's wife and children in a private reception earlier this month.
Practically no aspect of the Bronco was left untouched. The original engine was replaced with a new 5.0-liter DOHC V-8 out of a Ford Mustang GT producing more than 400 hp, mated to a T56 six-speed manual transmission and NP241 transfer case. The stock interior was completely stripped, the factory seats were replaced with Corbeau racing seats, an all-new custom dashboard and console was fabricated using Classic Instruments gauges featuring the Navy Seal logo, and an Alpine touchscreen navigation and entertainment unit were installed.
On the outside, the Bronco received a custom fiberglass hood and front fenders, and a custom grille, light and bumper assembly incorporating a Warn M12000 winch. The Bronco is ready to face any terrain with a BDS Suspension and 18-inch Fuel wheels wrapped in Nitto Mud Grappler tires. The Operation Fearless Bronco will be on display at the Charlotte International Auto Show November 21-24. For more information on the vehicle build, you can visit the My Classic garage blog.
