I guess I would be a minority here, but if Truck Trend "hopes" for 185 hp, I'll hope for what the current Colorado has...a 300+ hp V8.  But today, performance takes a second seat to fuel economy, so I'd be satisfied with a decent V6.  At about 70 cents a gallon more than regular, diesel would cost at least $10 more per fillup, not counting the extra cost of the diesel engine to begin with, so I'd take the more powerful V6 over the 4 cylinder diesel.

I didn't exactly like contributing to a foreign company but the Tacoma has roughly 74% American made parts and is built in Texas . I understand the a lot of the profits go back to Japan but they still employ a lot of Americans. I do get what you're saying Jeffrey Mayes

As long as it doesn't have to be burdened by the Isuzu Gasoline Inline engines this truck will be great.

Micheal you could get a 5.3 in the last Colorado but it's 3700.00 to put lockers in front and rear axles

Nick your probably right but I just can't bring myself to buy a foreign truck. So I buy ZR-2 and put lockers front and rear but I do love the 4.3
