NO other truck has CONSISTENTLY made the American Made Index Top 10 than the Toyota Tundra.
Ford's lack of consistency in the top ten American Made Index (via cars.com) says a lot. No other truck has been in the top ten more CONSISTENT than Toyota Tundra.
That "buy American" line implies that domestically the U.S. doesn't benefit from the sale of a Toyota vehicle, which generally couldn't be further from the truth. As far as i'm concerned it doesn't matter whether a company is union or not. Good, you take pride supporting what you do, but you shouldn't dismiss the work of another hardworking American supporting his family because of the company that employees him. Honestly, in our modern global economy the whole "buy American" thing is a fallacy and nothing more than a marketing ploy. Toyota is generally an all around good company, that keeps its non-union employees happy and does a lot for this country and their workers on all levels. To date, Toyota has created MORE THAN 350,00 American jobs. The Texas truck plant alone has seen a $2.9 billion dollar investment in the U.S. economy. They continually donate to science and educational programs in the US which is why they got to do the Endeavor shuttle pull, they participate in the Hire Heroes Program where U.S. combat veterans are hired and given jobs throughout the company and donated 1 million dollars alone to the victims of hurricane Sandy in 2012. Toyota has donated $13.4 million dollars to community causes in the state of Texas alone and donated millions more nation wide. Toyota and GM even shared a plant in California which opened in 1985 until it was forced to close with the bankruptcy of GM in 2009. I'm all for buying American products and I am a happy Tundra owner myself. Built by American hand, with an 85% domestic parts content (That has since increased in later production years) and a Made in USA sticker on the door jam. The idea that "all the profits go overseas" is yet another fallacy as well. Does some money go overseas? Yes. Is that true for all vehicle brands? Yes. Does the majority of the money made from the sale of a Toyota pickup stay domestic? Yes again. The moral of the story is we live in a country with a free market economy, consumers get the benefit of companies competing for our business. As a smart consumer you buy what you want and where you can get the most bang for your buck. My goal is not to look like a sales rep but to add factual balance to this thread without personal shots. Don't automatically dismiss something because of the logo on the grille.
J A P J U N K
TOYOTA Traz PRO BRASIL
For those of you who say there built here. And it's ok to buy them. Say to suck my d@#k.
What an ugly truck...
Piece of shitt
I dont no why toyota not lounch this truck in india this is superb yaar
YES that's true but, Ford sold Mazda and closed a number of plants in Australia and Europe. They had to do what they could to stay afloat just like the rest did to keep from closing their doors. The fact that Ford didn't use bail-out money wan't a preference call it was a call over the human aspect. Trying to keep as many workers employed is what the bail out was all about. Look I spent 25 years as an "Auto Technician" and the rest in management 1974-2004. I've watched the auto and truck industries evolve, and I say the trucks that we have to day is starting to resemble the motorcycle world where most of the bikes are pretty much the same. Spec.wise, aerodynamically and so on. I'm not here to say who's the best. I'm just saying don't knock the bail=out. It saved alot of lives.
That's what I'm talking about Tyrone Hightower!!! This is what happens when you buy a Ford
Trucks made in Canada allow money to flow here??? Bahahahah, you a special kind of stupid! BAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!
Where is Tundra diesel? Toyota trucks suck big time
This is not a truck...
Post American-made trucks not a Disgrace to US trucks...
Toyota Tundra Haters in 3...2....1....
ford builds a lot better truck
Ford didn't take any bail out money from Obama like GM did. and the fords made in Canada allow money to flow to the ford factories here in the united states. And no matter how you look at it the f150 has been the best selling truck for 36 years....your argument is invalid hahaha
Define made in America.
Leave them in the ditch. That will send a message not to by foreign!
Still ugly truck!
fords still the most american
Fake ass trucks

Toyota is more American than both Ford and Dodge. Roughly 73% of parts produced in US vs bout 65% for other two.
Demand for a truck like product made by a Japanese company ? Not!
I'm a mechanic they are made to last And I love the fact that they're made in the Austin Texas USA, not like Ford where some r made Canada.
