From the OEM press files of the Motor Trend archive comes this beauty: a 1982 Dodge Ramcharger. Introduced in 1974, the Ramcharger was an immediate sales success. In 1982, it was still posting respectable numbers. Ten years later, the model line was on the skids and production ceased with the advent of the newly designed Ram pickups.

Here’s what the 1982 press information states:

“Dodge Ramcharger’s image of toughness and durability is enhanced by the permanent steel roof integrated with the body side panes to seal out dust, water, and noise and supported by Chrysler Corporation’s nearly 50 years of 4x4 experience. For 1982, Ramcharger offers two levels of interiors —Custom and Premium Royal SE—and two-wheel- and four-wheel-drive models, and a long list of standard equipment.”

This 4x4 version features the Filigree Tape Striping package and radial aluminum wheels.
