The current Nissan Titan may be on its way out, but Nissan is sending the current generation of the fullsize truck out with a bang by teaming up with Wounded Warrior Project to create a specially customized Titan that will be taken on an Alaska adventure by WWP-alumnus David Guzman and Kevin McMahon. But rather than having a pre-determined customization template and build plan, Nissan and WWP are opening up the project for feedback from Nissan Trucks' Facebook page, in which fans can give their input on the direction of the project build.
Once completed, the truck, along with Guzman and McMahon, will travel to Alaska for a multi-day adventure putting the truck and the soldiers to the test. The adventure will be documented in a YouTube mini-series in September. The truck will be fully equipped with gear for rugged survival in the wilds of Alaska.
Those interested in participating in the project can go to Nissan Trucks' Facebook page at http://www.facebook.com/NissanTrucks and watch the video documentary of the adventure in September at Nissan USA's YouTube channel at http://www.youtube.com/NissanUSA.
The project represents Nissan's second crowd-sourced project build, the first being a 370Z in 2012.
