Later this month, Buick will be premiering its new premium midsize SUV in Chengdu, China. But for those of us who won't be able to make the Chinese debut, the automaker has shared photos of the SUV's interior, featuring new technology and a host of luxury features.
Like with other models in the General Motors lineup, the new Buick Envision will feature a driver-oriented left-tilted center console, a black piano trim around the infotainment system, with a few chrome touches to highlight specific areas.
Burgundy leather encases the seats and center console and features French-style dual stitching. Buick has also added heating to the leather-wrapped three-spoke steering wheel, marking a segment first. Controls placed on the sides of the steering wheel make it safer and easier to make phone calls via Bluetooth, adjust audio controls, and activate cruise control.
The Envision also adds Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) that works with the Bose sound system to offer an almost movie-theater listening experience. All incoming noise is cancelled out, and blue ambient lighting adds to the sense of luxury.
Additionally, the Envision premium SUV is offered with an Off-Road mode, a first for a Buick model. Other driving modes include Normal, Tour, and Sport. The Off-Road mode enables the midsize SUV to handle slippery, bumpy, and unstable driving surfaces with ease.
