As has happened before the difference between the smaller and larger pickups in mpg is negligible.  With a city EPA of 18 mpg, it matches the V6 Silverado.  The real advantage for GM is Ford has dismissed this segment in the U.S. and the import competition are long in the tooth.  Hope they do well, but I suspect for not much more money, many will opt for the larger, more comfortable pickups that get close to the same mpg.

I also have 2005 Colorado. I change the oil, and it just keeps going, 120k so far.

As long as there priced appropriately, they'll sell. Who the hell wants mid size when they could get a fullsize for less $$$ a few years back.

Tacomas are very well built cars. That's a complement.

I have a 05 Colorado, and it got beat the Fu** up at a dairy and it keeps on going. The previous owner was towing a 10,0000lb trailer every other week and it somehow survived.

Making a capable truck you can drive in the city is a no-brainer. Just give us a diesel 4x4 and room for normal adults in the back seat and we're happy!

I like the GMC Canyon a little more, since it looks like a mini Sierra.

I sell Chevys at a small South TX dealership and we have customers coming in daily asking for info, pricing, and if we have any in stock. We have a few on order so hopefully they show up soon. I might even buy one for myself.
