If you've been hit by sticker shock on newer-model SUVs and crossovers, Dodge invites you to check out the Journey three-row crossover, starting at under $21,000, including destination. But if you need or want all-wheel drive and V-6 power, Dodge has your number as well with the new 2014 Dodge Journey SE AWD V-6. Dodge claims that, starting at just $25,890, it's the lowest-priced three-row crossover with V-6 power and all-wheel drive. The new availability of AWD and V-6 power on the SE trim makes the combination $1800 more affordable than the SXT AWD V6 model that was previously the lowest-cost configuration for that drivetrain.
And the 2014 SE AWD V-6 is no stripped-down penalty box with 17-inch wheels, four-wheel disc brakes with ABS, seven airbags, a 4.3-inch Uconnect media center, push-button start, power windows, power locks, tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel, cruise control, tinted rear glass, and LED taillights.
The 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 is mated exclusively with a six-speed automatic transmission, and the fully automatic all-wheel-drive system is designed to provide optimal traction at all speeds and road conditions, requiring no manual input from the driver. Sales of the Journey, introduced for the 2009 model year, set an all-time sales record of 83,933 units in 2013.
