lasvegascolonel 5pts If the next generation Wrangler looks anything like this I'd be happy. I love my 2012 Sahara Unlimited but have heard some disturbing rumors that will neuter the current model. First, no solid axles, no removable rooftop, a windshield that's raked back to provide better "fuel efficiency" and will not allowed to be folded down, no removeable doors, and less Wrangler-like bumpers and a raked grill to insure people who walk in front of a Jeep won't be injured as badly. The many Jeep sites say the last real Jeep will likely be 2015 or 2016 if the diluted model comes out in 2017. Of course, some vehicles without the Wrangler suspension layout (Hummers) do well off-road. I wouldn't mind that as much as changing the character and style of the Wrangler to accommodate political/social issues. Too bad for those who like the traditional Jeep. I admire Jeeps and pickup trucks as they have gotten bigger and roomier while U.S. cars have shrunk dramatically over the past decades.
