I have owned a crew cab raptor and now a trd pro 4runner.  I also currently have a 2012 Power Wagon and a Jeep Wrangler.  All have their place depending on usage.  Raptor was a great ride but big and wide with a typical 1/2 ton undercarriage.  Looks very cool with very nice suspension.  Interior is bland and cheap.  For dirt roads - awesome.  For offroading - depends on terrain.  Flat desert works great until you have deep ditches - too long and wide.  I totally get the Tacoma and 4runner TRD Pros - smaller, extremely well built and still four people and very capable with sophisticated electronics.  The tundra is a tougher one to buy - although I did have a 2007 CrewMax Limited and it was an outstanding truck.  but the Tundra is priced only about 10% less than the Raptor and the Raptor has far better tires and suspension - an easy decision in favor of the Raptor.  I dont know the long term capabilities of the 6.2 - time will tell. The 5.7 in the Tundra is an excellent motor good for 250,000 miles but transmission less so.  For those that want to access tigher places, carry 4 and use everyday - the tacoma and the 4runner TRD have no equal anywhere  near their price point.  The jeep wrangler is awesome offroad and terrible on road.  I wish some one would make a 3/4 ton diesel, 4 door, with all the 4 wheel traction and other electronic capabilites with a Raptor suspension.  The power wagon is great on some points but weak on suspension BUT IMHO the best all around pickup if you like to get into really tough country, carry a lot of gear, max payload with still excellent towing and hitch weight capabilities - suspension is fine but not Raptor quality.  A power wagon undercarriage and components breed with a Raptor suspension and tires and fenders with the new 5.0 Cummins diesel coming in the Tundra and Titan would be the absolute perfect combo in my opinion.  It would be a 65,000 truck but guys pay that for straight ford super duties and I believe it would sell in large numbers.  Hopefully, one day...  Trend is to go to lighter and smaller engines.  Who knew the 4 liter would one day become a big engine now that ford is going to 2.7 and 3.5 and proud of it.  I know they can get the performance out of those engines but are sacrificing longevity.

Well, it's officially a full decade since the last Tacoma redesign. They better do something fast before my next pickup is a Colorado. That diesel option for 2016 is looking pretty good.

I'd like a grill like that for my 04 Taco. Overall look is cool, performance seems a bit more with external reservoir bilstiens. Like to see one when they hit the dealerships.
